Job Description
The Nursing Secretary NT I Plus 3 supports the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under close supervision, this role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.
Essential Job Function:
- Helps patients with fundamental tasks like meal provision, personal hygiene, and incremental mobility to aid in their recuperation and therapeutic strategy.
- Analyzes the quality of life of patients with regards to their nutrition, hydration, and waste elimination to facilitate the distribution of resources and anticipate upcoming patient needs.
- Confirms, relocates, and releases individuals to allocate them to the proper areas according to the care blueprint.
- Provides assistance to patients with elimination needs, involving services like ostomy support, enema provision, and the application of condom catheters for optimal patient care.
- Playing a role in overseeing the unit's stocks of supplies and equipment is vital for sustaining a clean and safe environment in alignment with the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Checks that patients who are predisposed to falling have the suitable armbands, socks, and signaling to protect their physical security.
- Carries out other assigned obligations.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
