Supporting the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Technician records and observes changes in patient health. With supervision, this role aids in patient mobility and routine tasks.
Responsibilities:
Helps patients carry out routine activities like feeding, personal hygiene, and enhancing mobility to promote their recovery and care plan goals.
Assesses the health status of individuals based on their nutrition, hydration, and elimination functions, with an emphasis on fair dissemination of resources and predicting their future needs.
The process of admitting, transferring, and discharging patients is crucial for placing them in the appropriate areas as required by their care plan.
As a medical aide, one also provides care in a variety of ways, including applying restraints and attending to elimination needs. These kinds of procedures are crucial to ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, and necessitate attention to detail and the proper application of medical knowledge.
By taking care of the unit inventories of supplies and medical equipment, we can ensure that the environment is hygienic and secure so that we adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals.
Checks that patients who have a high risk of falls are given the right arm bands, socks, and signage to avoid any physical peril.
To create a complete patient profile, healthcare practitioners must document all clinical procedures, medication usage, and interactions with patients.
