Overview:
The Occupational Therapist II evaluates patients' conditions and devises, arranges, and participates in rehabilitation programs that aid in the restoration of optimal functional abilities, enhancement of mobility, pain relief, strength improvement, and prevention of deformities for patients with illnesses or injuries, including educating patients and their families. Capable of treating all patients effectively and independently carrying out all occupational therapy tasks within their clinical environment, this therapist initiates communication among interdisciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with assurance, and advocates for both their patients and team. In complex situations, this therapist may require mentoring or guidance and may encounter challenges when extending coverage to other settings.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Licensed by the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
