Job Description
The essential responsibilities of a Registered Nurse (RN) include administering superior patient care and guaranteeing positive patient results through the proficient and empathetic use of nursing expertise. Operating under overall supervision, this position advances professional nursing standards by orchestrating patient care using the nursing process and collaborative partnerships with a range of healthcare professionals.
Essential Job Function:
- Reviews patient needs and health conditions in the unit to provide appropriate nursing care that meets individual requirements.
- Reviews patient files, such as medical histories, diagnostic tests, and current well-being, to establish tailored nursing care outlines.
- Performs nursing responsibilities like providing medications and therapies to offer holistic and impactful patient care.
- Validates medical information to ensure it complies with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Tracks the patient's response to interventions and identifies any supplementary interventions necessary to achieve the defined care goals.
- Works jointly with an interdisciplinary care team to optimize care planning.
- Executes any other tasks as delegated.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
