Overview:
Clinical Research Nurses collaborate with study participants and fellow research team members, actively participating in various stages of the research trial. They conduct patient care and evaluations as permitted by their licensing guidelines. The tasks they undertake are typically repetitive and specific, aimed at advancing the objectives of the clinical research trial and its procedures. These nurses do not have managerial duties and operate under direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes patient scenarios, medical backgrounds, and existing treatment strategies in order to successfully attract and register potential study participants who are actively participating in the informed consent procedure.
Assisting in the regulatory procedure by submitting research protocols, consent forms, and recruitment materials to the Institutional Review Board and department for endorsement aids in ensuring that research projects in the hospital or medical group setting comply with regulations.
Assisting in the organization of multiple concurrent clinical trials, efficiently handling diverse research responsibilities, maximizing the utilization of resources, and implementing research procedures promptly. Acting as the study coordinator for pharmaceutical and/or device trials, effectively overseeing the initiation, monitoring, and closure visits at the site while ensuring compliance with protocol directives and regulatory standards.
Collaborates with healthcare teams, providers, external research collaborators, and patients to maintain transparent communication and seamless patient care.
Assisting in gathering and evaluating data relevant to clinical research investigations to guarantee precision and dependability. Aiding in keeping track of patient engagements and clinical research treatments to ensure uniform and organized healthcare, which involves cooperating with the Investigator in evaluating and handling Adverse Events.
Carries out medical duties allowed by nursing certification to address urgent patient requirements when needed. Manages patient treatment following the Investigator's guidance and following the clinical study plan.
Participates in investigator meetings and conferences as necessary.
Executes additional tasks as required.

Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
