Job Description
The duties of the Registered Nurse involve providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the skilled and compassionate application of nursing expertise under general supervision. This role is instrumental in promoting professional nursing practice through the coordination of patient care via the nursing process and collaborative efforts with other healthcare practitioners.
Essential Job Function:
- Examines patient needs and health conditions within the assigned unit to offer individualized nursing care that is tailored to each patient's requirements.
- Assesses patient information, comprising medical history, diagnostic findings, and ongoing condition, to establish tailored nursing care plans.
- - Carries out nursing processes like medication delivery and therapies to provide thorough and effective patient care.
- Make sure medical records align with both regulatory standards and internal policies through reconciliation.
- Evaluating patient reactions to interventions and identifying any additional measures necessary to achieve specified care outcomes.
- Participates in teamwork with various healthcare specialists to ensure quality care planning.
- Handles other tasks as instructed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
