Job Description
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with providing high-quality patient care and ensuring beneficial patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. This role aids in promoting professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates patient needs and medical circumstances in the assigned unit to provide nursing care that is tailored to each individual, ensuring comprehensive and suitable treatment.
- Scrutinizes patient data, which includes medical records, diagnostic tests, and prevailing health status, to devise personalized nursing care plans.
- Develops nursing strategies, such as medication delivery and treatments to offer comprehensive and efficient patient assistance.
- Validates medical documentation to meet organizational policies and regulatory requirements through reconciliation.
- Assesses patient feedback to interventions and identifies any extra interventions required to achieve defined care targets.
- Partners with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Carries out supplementary duties as needed.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
