Job Description
The main duties of a Registered Nurse (RN) involve delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes by effectively and empathetically utilizing nursing knowledge. This position works under general oversight and advances professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through collaborative efforts with different healthcare professionals and the implementation of the nursing process.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates patient conditions and requirements in the designated unit to provide personalized nursing care based on individual needs.
- Analyzes patient records, encompassing medical history, diagnostic findings, and current health status, to create personalized nursing care plans.
- Implements nursing processes like medication distribution and therapies to provide thorough and effective patient care.
- Validates medical information to ensure it complies with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Observes the patient's response to treatments and identifies any additional interventions required to accomplish the specified care objectives.
- Engages in collaboration with a diverse care team to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Undertakes other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
