Job Description
Overview:
A Cardiac Sonographer Registered Inpatient is accountable for carrying out several cardiac ultrasound examinations to assist doctors in evaluating and diagnosing the cardiovascular conditions of individuals. The position prioritizes patient welfare, preferences, and effective communication, providing remarkable customer service by collaborating with patients, families, colleagues, and external parties. The ultimate goal is to contribute to precise cardiac diagnostics and patient-centered care, producing satisfactory outcomes for all parties involved.
Responsibilities:
Conducts regular and customized assessments in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic output.
The objective is to evaluate test data and effectively communicate results to the attending cardiologists to facilitate the proper diagnosis and treatment planning. This process also streamlines collaboration between cardiologists and sonographers.
Maintains the functionality of all testing equipment by performing operational tasks, identifying and correcting issues, and promptly requesting repairs, resulting in error-free and dependable test outcomes while promoting patient safety and streamlining workflows.
Stays up-to-date with their professional and CPR certification to meet industry requirements and maintain the ability to quickly respond to cardiac emergencies.
If the personnel undergoes proper training and shows proficiency, they can perform IV insertion and sustain their IV competency skills every year.
Dispenses image-enhancing drugs as prescribed to improve the accuracy of the echocardiogram.
The individual is responsible for carrying out any other assigned tasks.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 0-1 years in Healthcare- Ultrasound Training program
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
RDCS | Reg Dx Cardiac | Registered Cardiac Sonographer RDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
