Job Description
Overview:
In emergency medical situations, the Paramedic role assesses the efficiency of medical systems and delivers aid as needed. Under typical supervision in regular scenarios, this job handles essential patient care and immediate responses to emergencies, ensuring the timely completion of reports and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Reviews emergency medical systems and protocols to verify their proper operation and adherence to accepted norms.
Oversees the quality and punctuality of reports and documentation for emergency medical services to ensure precise records.
Addresses staff queries and deals with challenges involving the interpretation of policies, offering guidance for resolution.
Coaches mentor junior professionals to help them enhance their growth and skills.
Upholds a thorough understanding of emergency medical interventions, therapies, and innovations for providing effective patient care.
Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
ED/Occ Health
Required:
- 1 year of Paramedic experience
Required:
- 3 years of EMS paramedic experience
- Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience.
- Carelink relief paramedics must have 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Current valid NC Paramedic certification
BLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
ACLS - American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider
Valid Driver's License If driving a CH vehicle must have minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
Carelink:
Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire
