Job Description
A Cath Lab Tech Lead is tasked with overseeing the activities of Cath Lab employees and support personnel to facilitate procedural assistance, uphold standards of patient care, ensure cohesive care coordination, optimize processes, and manage various tasks efficiently. They possess the ability to address technical issues that may occur in procedure rooms and offer expertise and direction to the team as necessary.
Essential Job Function
- Directs and monitors the tasks of staff, comprising nurses and auxiliary personnel, to sustain quality measures.
- Reviews patient records meticulously, including test outcomes and progress notes, to ensure an all-encompassing understanding of their health.
- Extends guidance, assistance, and coaching to employees, cultivating their professional maturation and advancement.
- Ensures patients receive comprehensive care by collaborating with healthcare teams across various disciplines.
- Offers suggestions and observations, highlighting superior protocols and inventive tactics, to increase the excellence and success of patient services.
- Engages and performs duties in the procedure rooms to support patient care and cooperate with the Invasive Team.
- Executes administrative functions, such as arranging schedules, upholding regulatory guidelines, checking equipment functionality, and improving workflow efficiency in the department for smooth and secure operations.
- Executes tasks as delegated.
Education
- Required: Must hold one of the following: Graduate from one or more of the following programs required: Nursing, Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, a sanctioned Cardiovascular Technology Program, or a credentialed Paramedic Program in NCPreferred: Bachelors Degree
Experience
- Required: 2 years Interventional Cardiovascular Experience
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: RCIS or RCESBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. American Red Cross or AHA ACLS
