Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and circumstances to administer nursing care in the designated unit, ensuring that each patient receives the necessary and suitable attention.
- Evaluates patient information, comprising medical records, test results, and current condition, to devise individualized nursing care plans.
- Plans nursing tasks like dispensing medications and therapies to provide thorough and effective patient support.
- Matches medical records for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Monitoring patient reactions to interventions and identifying any supplementary interventions required to meet defined care goals.
- Engages in interdisciplinary teamwork to create effective plans for patient care.
- Carries out additional assignments as designated.
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
