Job Description
Overview:
Operating with supervision, the Telecommunications Operator assists in managing a wide range of phone inquiries from both inside and outside sources to ensure high-quality customer assistance. They are responsible for distributing vital information efficiently during times of emergency.
This position is system-wide (travel to other Cone campuses as needed); but, primary location is Moses Cone.
Responsibilities:
Functions as the primary point of communication for all incoming calls to promptly and accurately provide patient information.
Helps in the smooth running of communication systems like telephone exchanges, broadcasting equipment, and emergency communication networks.
Communicates with people via paging or internal communication systems to link them with the right solutions for their concerns.
Conveys urgent messages through written or verbal communication to help clarify the situation for those aiding in emergencies.
Leverages technological tools for accomplishing data entry and word processing activities, like updating lists and typing or checking texts for errors.
Supports in arranging logistics for internal stakeholder's schedules to manage meetings and staff assignments effectively.
Carries out any other tasks as required.
