Faculty - Psych Faculty Residency

Overview:

At Cone Health, the Psychiatric Physician has the chance to practice in a range of clinical settings, such as inpatient or outpatient environments, on a hybrid, full-time, part-time, or relief basis. They can also work at various locations within the Cone Health system, including the Behavioral Health Hospital, Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center, and outpatient clinics situated in Greensboro, Kernersville, Reidsville, and Burlington. The Cone Health Psychiatrist is tasked with delivering exceptional care to patients and fulfilling all clinical duties.

Responsibilities:

Record-keeping in alignment with MCHS policies, relevant laws, and regulations must be maintained. Engaging in developing clinical guidelines, procedures, programs, and suggesting enhancements to improve care quality and efficiency is encouraged. Sharing on-call duties, as required, with other physicians in the designated areas is expected.

The position involves offering coordination services to various teams within assigned areas, providing guidance and mentoring to psychiatry residents and students at Cone Health when necessary.

The individual is responsible for autonomously diagnosing and treating patients, formulating treatment plans, and guiding the interdisciplinary team (advanced practice providers) in achieving patient care plan objectives.

Upholding and embodying professional standards set by MCHS, such as the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and image standards, is crucial.

Participating in activities like medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, investigations, peer reviews, and inquiries related to professional care standards is part of the role.

Striving for ongoing improvement and employing evidence-based practices to deliver exceptional healthcare and service, with outcomes in the 90th percentile or higher, is a key focus.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Psychiatry (Fellowship training for child-adolescent). North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
