Job Description
Overview:
The Group Exercise Instructor plays a vital role in guiding group fitness sessions for a variety of audiences, including staff, patients, and individuals with memberships. Under supervision, they work closely with participants to conduct workout sessions and establish a secure and pleasant atmosphere for physical activity.
Responsibilities:
Assists in guiding group exercise sessions aimed at enhancing the well-being of participants.
Supports in instructing individuals about the correct technique, body structure, and adjustments of physical movements to enhance the safety and efficiency of workouts.
Guarantees the well-being of individuals utilizing the gym's workout machinery.
Modifies the classes to cater to different levels of fitness to guarantee that everyone can derive value from the session.
Ensures the group fitness studio remains clean to maintain a favorable image among clients.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga Alliance
BLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provder
