Overview:
The Occupational TherapistĀ II assesses the conditions of patients and designs, arranges, and engages in rehabilitative schemes aimed at enabling a return to peak functional capacity, enhancing mobility, alleviating discomfort, enhancing muscular power, and reducing or preventing physical malformation in individuals afflicted by illnesses or injuries, along with educating both patients and their families. This role is proficient in efficiently attending to all patients within their clinical environment and executing all occupational therapy duties independently. The therapist instigates interactions among various team members, treats familiar cases with assurance, and actively supports their patients and colleagues. This practitioner might need support and guidance in intricate scenarios and could encounter challenges with providing coverage in alternate settings.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and cares for a wide range of diagnoses and challenging patients.
Performs comprehensive assessments on patient's physical capacities, health records, and limitations to create personalized therapy programs.
Offers therapeutic activities and various interventions in occupational therapy to enhance the strength, flexibility, and mobility of individuals.
Provides guidance to patients and their loved ones regarding treatment strategies, at-home workouts, and self-care methods to enhance the effectiveness of the healing process.
Works together with colleagues to create and execute plans for patient discharge, needing occasional assistance and direction from fellow team members.
Observes and records the advancement of individuals, treatment results, and reactions to actions to enable modifications to be made to treatment strategies accordingly.
Works with teams across various departments to guarantee cohesive patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
