Job Description

The Practice Administrator II plays a crucial role in managing the health and efficiency of a group of practices and providers. This position involves overseeing a diverse range of practices, including primary care and specialty areas, and considering factors like the presence of various specialties or sub-specialties with intricate procedures. The main focus is on ensuring that each practice has strong leadership in place and is achieving the desired levels of performance in terms of both strategic objectives and financial indicators.

Essential Job Function:

  • To enhance patient satisfaction and increase practice revenue, it is essential to optimize provider templates, remove barriers hindering provider productivity, and allocate more time for direct patient engagement, ensuring maximum access availability and volumes.
  • Sustains standardized staffing levels, encourages team participation, and empowers teams to tackle daily challenges and hurdles, collaborating with the Director to attract providers and promptly address any issues related to providers as they occur.
  • Interacts with the Director and healthcare providers to discuss provider contracts, exhibiting an extensive knowledge of the Resource-Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) and its implications on reimbursement and salary structures, leading to improved provider engagement and increased practice revenue.
  • Ensures that business units strictly adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory obligations to safeguard high-quality patient care and operational effectiveness.
  • Supervises TNM achievements across various departmental sectors, devising process gauges jointly with on-site supervisors to monitor ongoing TNM advancements, and promptly modifies practices and systems to rectify any deficiencies in performance measures, fostering an ongoing refinement in patient service quality and operational productivity.
  • Works towards meeting financial objectives in the organizational sectors through frequent assessment of financial statistics, putting corrective measures in place for variations, monitoring appropriate financial practices like cash management, invoicing, classification, and revenue flow, as well as holding responsibility for revenue cycle results, and undertaking measures to advance revenue and account receivables.
  • Executes any other responsibilities given.

Education:

  • Required: Associate's Degree preferably in business, finance or healthcare related field or High School Diploma with 7 years healthcare operational experience, 5 of which are in leadership and certification.
  • Preferred: BS in Nursing or BS/BA in Healthcare Administration.

Experience:

  • Required: 4 years in medical practice total, 3 years of practice leadership experience. Without a degree, must have 7 years healthcare operational experience, 5 of which are in healthcare management or healthcare leadership role and certification.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

  • Required: Completion of MGMA Principles Practice Management Certificate or Practice Management Institute CMOM certification within 90 days of hire. If No degree, must have CMPE or CMOM at time of hire.
