Job Description
The primary duty of the Registered Nurse RN Float role is to provide versatile nursing support across a range of units and departments as needed. Operating with flexibility, this position entails working collaboratively with various healthcare teams to offer comprehensive patient care, ensuring smooth transitions and upholding quality standards in different clinical settings.
Essential Job Function:
- Efficiently navigates between different healthcare units and departments to offer comprehensive care and assistance in diverse medical contexts.
- Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and support staff to deliver care centered on patients and to establish clear communication channels across departments.
- Carries out extensive assessments of patients' conditions and needs, designs care plans tailored to specific diagnoses and medical histories of each individual.
- Deals promptly with emergencies and vital situations, providing immediate nursing attention and aid to help stabilize patients.
- Aids in managing patient placements, admissions, and transfers, employing familiarity with bed allocation and capacity optimization to ensure effective patient flow in the medical center.
- Completes tasks beyond the assigned responsibilities.
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
Experience:
- Required: 3 years of related experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Medical Office Access Administration, and Professional Fee Billing.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Satisfactorily completes a Credentialed Trainer Course in the first 6 months that will include the functional application that they will teach.
