Overview
The duties of this position involve assessing, planning, implementing, documenting, organizing, prioritizing, delegating, supervising and coordinating the healthcare administered to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in accordance with the parameters established by the NC Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
Collects and analyzes patient and significant other data to create a detailed admission database and ongoing assessment.
Establishes caring and therapeutic relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and their significant others. Identifies communication obstacles, recognizes resources, and addresses communication barriers. Demonstrates respect for differences in diversity and culture in patients and significant others based on individual characteristics such as age, ethnicity, gender, religion, socio-economic status, education, personality, or other distinct variables. Develops tailored plans to meet individual needs specific to cultural diversity or special characteristics. Advocates for patients and significant others. Adapts to the specific context of different situations and preserves expert-level customer service.
Has knowledge on accessing online resources such as policies, guidelines, regulations, and additional resources.
Takes responsibility for adhering to policies, protocols, and regulations, and encourages others to do the same.
Demonstrates warmth and reverence towards every colleague and client, practicing mutual compassion and respect throughout all professional associations.

EDUCATION:Required:
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)

The BSN program is a four-year course designed to prepare students for a career in nursing
EXPERIENCE:Required:
Graduates of both Cone Health's competitive New Graduate program and those who have completed a similar acute care program are eligible to apply for nursing positions.
Preferred:
We strongly prefer candidates who have worked as an RN in an acute care environment for at least a year, but applicants with other types of RN experience will also be evaluated by the hiring manager.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Someone who has been granted certification as an RN by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or a Compact state's Board of Nursing.
Two renowned organizations in the healthcare sector, the American Red Cross and AHA Healthcare Provider, offer training in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques including CPR, which is crucial in providing life-saving measures to those experiencing medical emergencies
PREFERRED
It is ideal if candidates already have certain certifications, and some nursing units may require them to be obtained within a particular timeframe after being hired.
