Job Description

Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-caliber patient care and ensuring favorable patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient needs and health conditions within the assigned area to administer nursing care that is customized and meets the direct requirements of every patient.
  • Scrutinizes patient data, such as medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and present condition, to develop specific nursing care plans.
  • Validates medical documentation to ensure precision and consistency with regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines.
  • Evaluating how patients respond to treatments and determining if further interventions are necessary to achieve specific care goals. Working collaboratively with a diverse care team to ensure effective planning of care.
  • Executes further responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse

Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

  • Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
