Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-caliber patient care and ensuring beneficial patient results through the empathetic and proficient utilization of nursing knowledge. Operating with oversight, this role encourages professional nursing practice by arranging patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient requirements and health status on the designated floor to deliver tailored nursing care, ensuring every patient receives the direct and adequate care needed.
- Evaluates patient data, including medical background, test results, and current condition, to devise personalized nursing care plans.
- Organizes nursing routines, including giving medication and treatments, to provide complete and efficient patient support.
- Confirms the correctness and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Analyzes the patient's response to interventions and identifies supplementary interventions essential to meet predefined care goals.
- Collaborates with professionals from different disciplines to create optimal care plans.
- Carries out other duties as designated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
