Job Description
Overview:
The Emergency Department Technician utilizes emergency care abilities to assist patients in the emergency department. Operating with minimal oversight in typical scenarios, this position manages evaluating patient requirements to enhance care provision and aids in executing thorough care strategies, thereby enhancing care efficiency in the emergency department.
Responsibilities:
Keeps a record of patient conditions and treatment strategies while ensuring that there is a consistent and seamless delivery of care.
Utilizing emergency care expertise to advise on patient care protocols in the emergency department to enhance patient results.
Supports in administering urgent medical attention, utilizing expertise and understanding to aid healthcare practitioners in handling critical circumstances.
Manages typical emergency department scenarios with minimal oversight, employing critical thinking abilities to guarantee efficient and prompt patient treatment.
Maintains records of patient engagements and therapeutic strategies to ensure precise and current documentation is upheld.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 6 months related experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
EMT | Emergency Medical Technician
NAI | Nursing Assistant I
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Current Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services and completion of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course with current NC certification.
