Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient requirements and medical status within the allocated unit to provide individualized nursing interventions that cater to each patient's distinct care needs.
- Studies patient data, which includes medical background, test results, and ongoing health status, to establish customized nursing care plans.
- Confirms medical records for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Assessing patient responses to interventions and identifying any extra interventions needed to achieve defined care objectives. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure efficient care planning.
- Accomplishes other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
