Job Description
As an RN, the primary duty is to provide outstanding patient care and guarantee beneficial patient results through the skillful and compassionate application of nursing expertise. Within the context of general direction, this position supports the advancement of professional nursing practice by managing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among different specialties.
Essential Job Function
- Reviews patient needs and conditions within the assigned unit to provide nursing care and ensure that all patients receive the necessary and proper care.
- Assesses patient data, such as medical background, diagnostic tests, and present health status, to devise individualized nursing care plans.
- Arranges nursing activities, like providing medications and treatments, to give comprehensive and efficient patient aid.
- Checks and cross-references medical records to ensure they meet regulatory standards and organizational guidelines.
- Assesses patient feedback to interventions and identifies any supplementary interventions needed to achieve specified care goals.
- Partners with a varied care team to ascertain cohesive care plans.
- Completes tasks beyond the designated scope as directed.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
