Job Description

Overview:

The role of a Registered Nurse (RN) involves delivering quality patient care and ensuring successful patient outcomes by compassionately and efficiently applying nursing knowledge. With general supervision, this position advances professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes patient needs and health issues within the designated nursing unit to facilitate the provision of tailored care that meets the specific requirements of each individual under their care.
  • Assesses patient data, including medical background, diagnostic findings, and current health condition, to establish tailored nursing care schemes.
  • Organizes nursing methodologies, such as giving medications and carrying out interventions to deliver all-encompassing and impactful patient care.
  • Aligns medical data to validate accuracy and consistency with legal standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Examining the patient's reaction to interventions and pinpointing any extra measures necessary to achieve the desired care outcomes.
  • Partners with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the coordination of care plans.
  • Undertakes supplementary duties as instructed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse

Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:

Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
