Overview:
The Supervisor Clinical Acute Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the unit/department's daily functions to guarantee efficient patient care delivery. Their duties include supervising personnel and overseeing patient care within their designated area. This role involves setting and attaining program objectives and results, adhering to regulatory and professional guidelines. The position is dedicated to maintaining a service that is both cost-efficient and customer-oriented, emphasizing progress.
Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process for creating, executing, and assessing nursing interventions.
Collaborates with the patient, their support system, and healthcare professionals to create, amend, and record a care strategy, which also encompasses plans for discharge.
Ensures interventions are consistently implemented to uphold patient dignity, privacy, and safety while educating staff on nursing procedures, documenting practices, and utilizing clinical pathways.
Supports in finalizing performance evaluations and contributes to creating and/or engaging in the formulation of the team schedule and oversees daily staffing procedures.
Assists in the development of the yearly budget plan and oversees the monitoring and upkeep of departmental cost-saving initiatives.
Implements the quality improvement/quality assurance program within the department and encourages staff involvement in PI/QI activities.
Identifies chances for quality improvement procedures, engages in the creation and execution of such processes.
Supports the development and maintenance of cooperative connections, which may involve resolving conflicts among team members.
Oversees and supervises continuous operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Completes tasks as required.
