Overview:
The pivotal duty of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide quality patient care and guarantee favorable patient outcomes by adeptly and empathetically utilizing nursing knowledge. Working with overall supervision, this role enhances professional nursing practice by supervising patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Examines the health conditions and care requirements of patients within the assigned unit to provide nursing support that is personalized and designed to meet their specific medical needs.
Assesses patient data, like medical records, test results, and ongoing health status, to devise unique nursing care plans.
Carries through nursing protocols like medication administration and treatments to provide comprehensive patient care.
Ensures the accuracy and regulatory compliance of medical records by cross-referencing and reviewing.
Observes how patients react to treatments and recognizes any extra interventions required to reach specified care goals.
Cooperates with a variety of healthcare professionals to facilitate effective care plans.
Performs supplemental tasks as required.
