Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under supervision, this role supports the promotion of professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Assesses patient requirements and health status in the designated unit to provide appropriate nursing interventions for each individual to guarantee optimal care provision.
Examines patient information, which includes medical history, diagnostic findings, and current health status, to craft personalized nursing care proposals.
Conducts nursing processes, including medication administration and treatments, to deliver optimal patient care.
Verifies the precision and compliance of medical records with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Observes patient reactions to interventions and determines the necessity for additional interventions to meet defined care objectives.
Participates in interdisciplinary teamwork to ensure cohesive care planning processes.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
