Job Description
Overview:
The responsibilities of a Clinic Behavioral Health Therapist include offering counseling and support to individuals and families facing challenges related to mental health, substance abuse, and stress-induced physical ailments. This position involves aiding in the identification and management of such conditions, as well as providing therapeutic interventions. While operating with oversight, this role is tasked with evaluating the psychosocial aspects of patients, creating and executing customized treatment strategies, and coordinating therapy sessions to facilitate the healing process of those grappling with behavioral health concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Performs psychosocial evaluations to gain insight into a patient's condition, ailment, or therapy by exploring emotional, interpersonal, and contextual elements.
- Develops and executes therapy strategies aimed at assisting individuals in restoring their well-being and functionality.
- Keeps abreast of information and connections with local health and social organizations to enhance the range of behavioral health services accessible to clients through partnerships or recommendations.
- Teaching the patient and their family about the procedures and choices available for behavioral health treatment aims to boost assurance and support ongoing recuperation after leaving the facility.
- Records patient care and treatment outcomes promptly and accurately in medical documentation to track progress in the healing journey.
- Supporters for individuals throughout the treatment process to address possible ethical dilemmas or other potential hazards.
- Utilizes their expertise to evaluate the tasks of less experienced coworkers and offer direction as needed. Carries out additional responsibilities as required.
Education
- Required: Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
Experience
- Required: 2 years of clinical experience
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: One or more of the following licensures: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) Supervisor, License Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS)
