Job Description
The LPN specializing in Clinical Practice supports nursing operations and collaborates on evaluating patient demands in clinical environments through close supervision. Responsibilities of this role entail documenting patient information, managing treatment recommendations, and overseeing a range of administrative duties to assist in maintaining high-quality patient care provision. Application of nursing knowledge is crucial for the LPN to ensure the provision of effective patient care and the accomplishment of positive health outcomes. Specialty Care services are conducted exclusively within office-based settings and cover a range of specialties comprising Oncology, Allergy, Geriatrics, Pulmonary, Dermatology, Urgent Care, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Occupational Medicine, GYN-only care, ENT services, Vascular health, Psychiatry, support for Advanced Practice Providers in Community Care Clinics, Wound Care, and Patient Care Clinics.
Essential Job Function
- Helps healthcare professionals administer patient care by prepping individuals for exams, recording vital statistics, documenting medical backgrounds, and maintaining patient records.
- Engages with a diverse healthcare team to promote communication and synchronization of care, ultimately leading to improved patient results.
- Assesses healthcare providers' recommendations, such as medication prescriptions, referrals to specialists, and diagnostic examinations, to verify their accuracy and timely processing.
- Helps with carrying out suggested medical remedies and interventions to ensure adherence to protocols and enhance patient safety.
- Administers medications and treatments, follows established protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Ensuring the protection of patient privacy requires consistent compliance with relevant laws, standards, and company policies governing the communication of medical data.
- In cases of emergencies and safety hazards, it is crucial to use personal protective equipment and adhere to hospital safety protocols to prevent harm to patients.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.
Education:
- Required: Diploma in Practical Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Licensed Practical Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty hired as defined by ANCC or national nursing organization.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Licensed Practical Nurse LPN licensed in North Carolina or Compact State, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
