Responsibilities:
Conducts physical evaluations on the patient, examines their medical background, and analyzes the outcomes of diagnostic tests to deliver appropriate care for the patient.
Administers preemptive health assessments tailored to individual patient's age, medical background, and specific requirements to offer forward-thinking medical services.
Provides information to patients and their families regarding specialized medical conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
Keeps a detailed account of all patient treatment to guarantee precise patient medical background.
Executes specialized medical procedures following departmental protocols and clinical responsibilities required in both hospital and outpatient environments.
Identifying methods to enhance specialty care for both inpatients and outpatients involves a thorough examination, troubleshooting, and assessment of clinical and systemic challenges.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
