Job Description
JOB DETAILS: Location: Reidsville Exempt: Yes (Salaried) FTE: 0.5 (20 hours/week) Schedule: Wednesday Friday, 8am-5pm Call: No EXPERIENCE: Open to new graduates
Essential Job Function
- Examines patients, reviews their medical histories, and analyzes diagnostic tests to inform and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conducts preventive health screenings based on the patient's age, history, and unique needs to provide proactive health care.
- Educates patients and their family about specialty care medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up.
- Tracks all patient care activities to preserve accurate and consistent medical records.
- Performs specialty care medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles as necessary within inpatient and outpatient care settings.
- Analyzes clinical and organizational issues and applies problem-solving strategies to enhance inpatient and outpatient specialty care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: None Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersIVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
