Job Description
Registered Nurses (RNs) are responsible for providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient utilization of nursing expertise. With general oversight, this role advances professional nursing practice by managing patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and conditions in a specified area to administer nursing care that is tailored to meet the individual and essential needs of each patient.
- Evaluates patient information, involving medical background, diagnostic outcomes, and present state, to create customized nursing care plans.
- Executes nursing duties, including medication administration and therapy delivery, to deliver comprehensive and impactful patient treatment.
- Validates the alignment of medical records with regulatory standards and internal policies during reconciliation.
- Assesses how the patient is responding to interventions and recognizes the requirement for additional measures to attain the established care objectives.
- Engages with a diverse group of healthcare experts to create personalized care strategies.
- Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as needed.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
