Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing excellent patient care and achieving favorable patient results by applying nursing expertise with empathy and effectiveness. Operating with oversight, this position advances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses the needs and health conditions of patients within the allocated area to provide nursing services that are individualized and responsive to each patient's requirements.
- Scrutinizes patient details, consisting of medical history, test outcomes, and current health status, to devise individualized nursing care plans.
- Establishes nursing protocols, including the administration of medication and therapies, to offer holistic and successful patient support.
- Confirms medical records for precision and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational guidelines.
- Evaluates patient response to interventions and identifies any additional interventions needed to meet defined goals of care.
- Engages in interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance the quality of care planning.
- Carries out additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
