Job Description
Overview:
The core responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes by skillfully applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. With general supervision, this position supports professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and partnership with other disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and conditions of patients in the designated unit to ensure that each patient receives the necessary and proper nursing care.
- Assesses patient information, comprising medical history, test results, and current well-being, to devise tailored nursing care plans.
- Conducts nursing routines like medication allocation and treatments to deliver comprehensive and effective patient support.
- Aligns medical records with regulatory guidelines and internal protocols by carefully reviewing and verifying their accuracy.
- Monitoring how patients respond to treatments and identifying any supplemental actions required to achieve specified care goals.
- Engages with various healthcare specialists to facilitate comprehensive care planning.
- Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
