Job Description
A Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering top-tier patient care and securing favorable patient results by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and proficiency. Working within broad supervision, this position fosters professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and engaging in collaboration with various healthcare team members.
Essential Job Function:
- Examines patient needs and health statuses in the designated section to offer nursing care that is personalized and attentive to the specific needs of every patient in that unit.
- Studies patient information, involving medical background, diagnostic results, and current condition, in order to craft personalized nursing care plans.
- Sets up nursing actions, such as medication administration and treatments, to ensure thorough and effective patient care.
- Coordinates medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Evaluating the patient's reaction to interventions and identifying any additional interventions necessary to achieve specified care goals.
- Collaborates with professionals across disciplines to optimize care plans.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as assigned.
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
