Job Description
Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to administer top-quality patient care and secure positive patient outcomes through the caring and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Guided by general supervision, this role supports the development of professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with various healthcare specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the patient's needs and health conditions in the assigned unit to provide nursing care that is personalized and addresses the unique requirements of each patient.
- Examines patient details, encompassing past medical information, test outcomes, and existing health status, to design tailored nursing care plans.
- Plans nursing procedures, like administering medications and therapies, to offer thorough and impactful patient care.
- Checks medical records for accuracy and ensures compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Evaluating how patients respond to treatments and identifying any additional interventions needed to meet defined care goals.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as directed by the interdisciplinary care team.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
