Overview:
The Electrophysiology Technician CL is involved in providing hands-on patient care in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Catheterization Lab, and Catheterization Lab Holding room. Their main duty is to assist in delivering excellent patient care that is safe, cost-effective, culturally sensitive, and of high quality in various departments by performing thorough assessments, careful planning, meticulous evaluations, and prompt interventions and monitoring to enhance patients' overall health and successful treatment results.
Responsibilities:
Supports diagnostic, interventional, and emergency procedures by adhering to stringent cleanliness standards, reacting swiftly in urgent situations, and showcasing proficient use of supplies and tools to guarantee patient well-being and favorable procedural results.
Gathers specialized EP tools to enhance the precision and dependability of diagnostic and interventional processes.
Assists in managing control room responsibilities by leveraging expertise in physiological monitoring, EP-specific monitoring, mapping systems, angiographic/fluoroscopic imaging, and digital analysis to facilitate thorough monitoring and evaluation of patient status throughout treatments.
Assists in EP-focused support tasks such as the storage of research electronically and the distribution of resources, streamlining data organization and guaranteeing the provision of essential materials for smooth operational processes.
Assisting in the circulating position during both planned and urgent procedures involves prioritizing the needs of patients, surgeons, and scrub staff to deliver quality care and enhance patient contentment in a secure manner.
Assisting with consistent care in the Catheterization Lab Holding unit, receiving training in various departments, and aiding with procedures in the lab to ensure smooth departmental processes and enhance coordination for prompt and efficient patient treatment.
Utilizes cultural sensitivity and proficient communication methods when engaging with the diverse team, doctors, and families to guarantee comprehensive and patient-focused care while promoting a nurturing and courteous atmosphere for everyone participating in the healthcare journey.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Graduate from one or more of the following AS programs required: Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, sanctioned Cardiovascular Technology Program, an Allied Health Degree or relevant Life/Health Sciences Degree.
A High School diploma may be considered with a minimum of four years of full-time experience as an Electrophysiology Specialist with a current RCES or RCIS certification.
Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS or RCES). If not, must obtain certification within 24 months of hire in the EP/Cath lab (required for continued employment in the EP/Cath Lab). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provide. Must Obtain ACLS with in 6 months of hire.
