Job Description
The Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering effective, high-quality care during assigned shifts. Under close supervision, the RN collaborates with the healthcare team, seeks advice from senior medical staff when handling complex cases, and ensures patients receive optimal care and positive outcomes.
Essential Job Function
- Assists in performing patient assessments, conducting examinations, and administering treatments to ensure consistent, tailored care as part of daily clinical practice.
- Supports the analysis of patient data to guide medical decisions, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Supports the implementation of medical interventions and treatments according to prescribed protocols, maintaining patient safety and treatment accuracy.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate communication and coordination of care to improve patient outcomes.
- Seeks input and advice from experienced medical professionals when managing complex patient situations or challenging healthcare scenarios to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
