Overview:
In the healthcare field, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring successful patient outcomes by efficiently applying nursing knowledge with compassion. Operating under general supervision, this position contributes to the advancement of professional nursing practices by managing patient care through the nursing process and collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Examines the patient's needs and health status to offer nursing care in the designated unit, ensuring that the direct and essential care is provided to each patient accordingly.
- Scrutinizes patient information, involving medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and current condition, to develop specific nursing care plans.
- Facilitates nursing protocols, including providing medication and therapies, to deliver holistic and impactful patient assistance.
- Ensures the accuracy of medical records for compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Assessing patient responses to treatments and pinpointing any additional actions required to reach determined care goals.
- Carries out any other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
