Overview:
The role of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Weekend Option involves conducting MRI scans that use radio waves and a magnetic field to produce images of a patient's internal body parts. The focus of these scans is to detect and diagnose conditions that affect soft tissue, including brain-related disorders and tumors. Accurate image acquisition is a key responsibility of this role, along with ensuring that the medical team is provided with comprehensive diagnostic information for improving patient care. The WEO option is also available for this position, requiring staff members to commit to working two shifts within the WEO window for a premium pay rate.
Responsibilities:
Undertakes intricate operations in conjunction with high field strength magnets and associated machinery for generating distinctive radiographic imagery of distinct body parts.
Evaluates the medical backgrounds of patients to pinpoint suitable imaging criteria for precise diagnosis.
Runs and upkeeps state-of-the-art MRI machinery, following safety measures and carrying out routine inspections to guarantee accurate and dependable imaging outcomes.
During MRI procedures, works alongside medical professionals to offer continuous imaging support and guarantee precise positioning for superior imaging quality.
In order to ensure a streamlined workflow, all information related to MRI scans is recorded and documented in the Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) by the assistant.
Executes additional tasks as instructed.
