Job Description
Overview:
The Triad Hospitalist position requires individuals to deliver high-quality care to patients within Cone Health while also fulfilling all necessary clinical duties.
Responsibilities:
Include offering coordination services for multidisciplinary teams in designated areas. Provides guidance and support to Cone Health residents and other students when required. Demonstrates independent decision-making skills in diagnosing and treating patients, creating treatment plans, and leading an interdisciplinary team (consisting of advanced practice providers) to meet the patient care plan objectives.
Demonstrates compliance with the professional standards of MCHS, encompassing the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image standards. Takes part in activities such as medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, investigations, peer reviews, and other assessments linked to professional care standards, as necessary.
Strives for continuous enhancement and adoption of evidence-based practices to advance healthcare quality and services towards achieving outcomes in the 90th percentile or higher. Maintains comprehensive records in alignment with MCHS policies, relevant laws, and regulations. Contributes to the formulation of clinical guidelines, procedures, and programs, presenting suggestions to enhance the quality and efficiency of care. Shares specific on-call duties when required with other physicians in the assigned areas.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
