Job Description
The primary responsibility of a Registered Nurse (RN) is to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure positive patient outcomes by applying nursing expertise with compassion and efficacy. With general oversight, this position champions professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among diverse teams.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient needs and conditions in the assigned unit to deliver nursing care that is personalized and ensures that each patient receives the appropriate level of care.
- Assesses patient data, encompassing medical background, diagnostic findings, and current health state, to establish unique nursing care plans.
- Carries out nursing responsibilities, such as dispensing medications and implementing treatments, to ensure thorough and successful patient care.
- Validates the alignment of medical records with regulatory standards and internal policies during reconciliation.
- Analyzes the patient's response to interventions and determines any extra measures needed to fulfill the defined care goals.
- Engages with a diverse group of healthcare experts to create personalized care strategies.
- Carries out other tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
