Job Description
The role of a Registered Nurse RN Dialysis Staff entails delivering specialized nursing assistance to individuals receiving dialysis therapy. Within a dialysis facility, this position works alongside healthcare staff to provide thorough care, supervise patients throughout treatments, and guarantee compliance with dialysis guidelines to promote patients' overall health.
Essential Job Function:
- Observes and evaluates patients' essential signs and general state throughout dialysis sessions for the purpose of guaranteeing safe and efficient therapy.
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed to patients receiving dialysis, such as managing heparin administration and fluid levels.
- Manages and upkeeps dialysis machinery to guarantee smooth operation and sanitation before every treatment.
- Works together with teams from various disciplines to create and execute holistic care strategies customized to meet individual patient requirements.
- Provides information to patients and their families regarding the dialysis procedure, self-management strategies, and dietary limitations with the aim of improving results and enhancing the overall well-being of individuals.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 2 years as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
