Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing top-notch patient care and achieving favorable patient results by applying nursing expertise with compassion and effectiveness. Operating with moderate oversight, this position advances the standards of professional nursing by organizing patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with various healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Reviews and assesses patient needs and health status within the assigned unit to facilitate the delivery of nursing care that is responsive and appropriate to their individual healthcare requirements.
Evaluates patient data, such as health records, test findings, and present state, in order to formulate customized nursing strategies.
Performs nursing procedures including medication administration and treatments to provide quality patient care.
Verifies medical documents to ensure precision and adherence to legal requirements as well as company protocols.
Evaluates patient reactions to treatments and identifies any additional interventions necessary to achieve specified care goals.
Works together with a diverse care team to ensure efficient care coordination.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
