Job Description
Working as a Registered Nurse RN Float includes delivering adaptable nursing assistance to multiple units and departments based on requirements. In this capacity, individuals need to work closely with diverse healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care, guaranteeing smooth handovers and upholding excellence levels in varied clinical scenarios.
Essential Job Function:
- Effortlessly shifts from one nursing unit to another, ensuring comprehensive support and care in different medical settings.
- Engages in cooperation with interdisciplinary groups, physicians, and support personnel to provide patient-centered healthcare and maintain efficient communication throughout the organization.
- Evaluates patients comprehensively to determine their conditions and requirements, crafting personalized care protocols depending on individual diagnoses and medical backgrounds.
- Demonstrates a swift reaction to emergencies and crucial circumstances, delivering prompt nursing care and support to stabilize patients.
- Supports in coordinating patient placements, admissions, and transfers, applying understanding of bed distribution and capacity planning to facilitate smooth patient flow in the medical center.
- Executes any other responsibilities given.
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a registered nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year of clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider. If working in a critical care area, ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider is required.
