Job Description
The main duty of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide exceptional patient care and guarantee positive patient outcomes by skillfully applying nursing knowledge with kindness and efficiency. Under general supervision, this role helps to elevate professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and fostering collaboration among diverse healthcare disciplines.
Essential Job Function
- Analyzes patient needs and health conditions in the specified unit to provide specialized nursing care that addresses individual requirements and ensures their well-being.
- Studies patient information, including healthcare history, diagnostic findings, and present situation, to develop personalized nursing care plans.
- Crafts nursing techniques that involve delivering medications and therapies to provide all-encompassing and efficient patient care.
- Checks medical records for precision and compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Evaluates patient reactions to interventions and identifies any further measures needed to achieve specified care aims.
- Teams up with interdisciplinary professionals to create effective care plans for patients.
- Carries out other assigned duties.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
