Job Description

Overview:

The Supervisor CT Technologist is tasked with overseeing and organizing the tasks of the CT technologists who operate Computed Tomography (CT) machines. Their primary objectives are to uphold stringent imaging standards, follow regulations, and guarantee excellent imaging services. They are required to manage the scheduling, training programs, and performance assessments of the CT technologists to ensure smooth operations and precise diagnostic outcomes. The CT Technologist Supervisor's duties include offering guidance, emphasizing patient welfare, and upholding top-notch imaging accuracy and patient service levels.

Responsibilities:

Oversees and controls the day-to-day activities, employee timetables, operational processes, and patient care in order to guarantee the smooth and productive provision of CT scanning services.

This role involves making sure that employee time logs are filled out correctly and promptly in the timekeeping system. It also includes offering guidance and training to employees through coaching, disciplinary measures, and evaluations to comply with labor laws and cultivate a proficient and inspired staff.

Conducts regular and specific CT scans using predetermined procedures, aiming to lessen the necessity for extra imaging studies, leading to lower levels of radiation exposure for patients and enhanced precision in diagnoses.

Ensures all exams and paperwork are recorded correctly in the specified system and recognizes fees linked to studies to guarantee accurate billing and information integrity, aiding financial processes and quality reporting.

Successfully finishes all mandatory yearly competencies within the specified period to uphold professional proficiency and comply with regulatory requirements.

Manages the ACR Accreditation process for the American College of Radiology, overseeing equipment assessments and regular quality checks to uphold accreditation criteria and showcase the department's dedication to excellence and compliance with top imaging standards.

Carries out additional tasks as required.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 2+ years

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

Required:

BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
