Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist II helps patients and healthcare providers with benefit inquiries and enrolling patients in programs that offer assistance from manufacturers. This position operates with some supervision and is dedicated to facilitating patient access to medications.
Responsibilities:
Conducts inquiries into the advantages for particular clinics or drugs.
Secures insurance approvals in advance and obtains pre-authorizations.
Works together with manufacturer support initiatives for individuals without adequate insurance coverage.
Functions as a bridge connecting the patient, clinic or infusion center, pharmacy, insurance provider, and drug producer.
Collaborates closely with clinical pharmacists and the healthcare team.
Carries out additional tasks as required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
