Job Description
Responsibilities of the Environmental Group Leader include overseeing the tidiness of hospital corridors, patient rooms, and administrative spaces. This role involves providing guidance and instruction to staff members within the department's scope on a daily basis.
Essential Job Function:
- Assigns duties to the front-line team to fulfill the department's daily operational demands.
- Completes required paperwork to officially document tasks that have been accomplished.
- Observes equipment operation to tackle any operational challenges.
- Recognizes and documents unsanitary or dangerous spots that demand specialized focus to lessen the danger posed to both workers and patients.
- - Oversees the budget objectives of the department while addressing the staff's procurement needs.
- Supplies the staff with the proper tools and materials needed to effectively carry out their cleaning responsibilities in a prompt manner.
- Responds to service demands from clientele and safety advocacy groups, all the while overseeing bed utilization in EPIC, the institution's electronic health information software.
- Executes any other responsibilities as designated.
Education
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Required: 2 years housekeeping experience or 1 year dispatcher experience with 6 months housekeeping experience
